The Moon Festival or the mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important traditional events for Chinese
people, normally held in the middle of the 8th lunar month. This year falls in September according to Thai
calendar. Some people call this festival as “Zhong-Giu” Festival where “Zhong” means middle and “Giu”
means Autumn, thus “Zhong-Giu” means Mid-Autumn. Furthermore, the Moon Festival is a good occasion
for family reunion, to enjoy mooncakes together while watching the full moon rises.
