Bangkok, 3 March 2010 (NNT) – Following a massive global recall by many world leading companies over the car safety system, Honda Automobile (Thailand) announced that this would not affect the growth of Thai automotive industry in terms of domestic demand and export ability.
Senior Vice President, Asian Honda Motors Ltd., Mr. Adisak Rohitasune explained about the background of automobile and vehicle safety recall at “The 2010 Crisis Watch No.2”,The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). He revealed that car recall system was a common practice internationally, however the reason that it had become a very big issue recently was because of its rapid quantity increase.
The auto recall happens when a specific mechanism is found malfunctioned and the motor companies will call to recheck the cars for safety check. If any defect is found in any cars, the company will repair, Mr. Adisak said.
