1 more H1N1 death confirmed last week

BANGKOK, 18 November 2009 (NNT) – The Public Health Ministry has declared one more death from influenza A (H1N1), bringing the death toll in Thailand to 185.

The Ministry of Public Health’s Bureau of Epidemiology said the new victim was in Bangkok and was the only case reported during 8-14 November, 2009. The total number of fatalities in Thailand rose to 185 during 28 April-14 November, 2009.

According to the ministry’s announcement, a total of 63 H5N1 patients were reported in 13 provinces in the past two weeks. Most of them were in Pathum Thani, Bangkok, Samut Prakran, Phuket and Samut Songkram. In Bangkok, more than 5 flu patients were reported in Wattana and Klong Toey districts over the last 14 days.
