The Department of Rural Roads has reported that Nock Ten tropical storm and floods have destroyed 168 roads across the country, causing a total of 1.036 billion baht in damage.
According to Rural Roads Department Director-General Vicharn Kunakulsawat, the tropical storm damaged 168 roads across the country, but 154 of them can still be used while 14 others are completely inaccessible. The total damage is estimated at 1.03 billion baht.
In the central region, only one road in Lop Buri requires immediate repair work.
In the northeast, 49 roads in nine provinces, including Nakhon Phanom, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Roi Et, Loei, Sakon Nakhon, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani and Amnat Charoen were damaged, and three of them cannot be used at all. A 224-million-baht damage is expected.
In the north, there are 118 roads damaged in 15 provinces, including Kamphaengphet, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Sawan, Nan, Tak, Phichit, Phetchabun, Phitsanulok, Phrae, Mae Hong Son, Lampang, Lamphun, Sukhothai and Uttaradit, and eleven of them cannot be used at all. The damage is estimated at 812.23 million baht.
