Senators Group: PM, Govt must clarify to pass Bht 400 bn loan bill

BANGKOK, 10 August 2009 (NNT) – 40 Senators Group has indicated that Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva must clearly address with senators the use of the 400 billion baht loan bill for economic stimulation before approval of the Government.

Senator Prasarn Marukpitak, as one in the 40 Senators Group, stated before attending the meeting session today that at present senators were divided into two groups. However, he believed that there were more senators supporting the loan bill.

Mr Prasarn expressed belief that the elucidation of the Government, especially by Prime Minister Abhisit would be able to finalize the decision of the upper house to give green lights to the loan bill.
