BANGKOK, 10 August 2009 (NNT) – The Department of Energy Business (DOEB) will spend six million baht to examine oil stocks at 18,000 petrol stations nationwide.
DOEB Director-General, Mr. Peerapon Sakharin, said that the Department would examine oil stocks at 18,000 petrol stations nationwide, before the retail oil price would be cut according to the enforcement of the five measures to reduce Diesel price.
Permanent Secretary for Energy, Mr. Pornchai Rujiprapa, said that currently the Oil Fund had 16 billion baht, which would be earmarked to pay the debt to the PTT for LPG import. Regarding the budget, which would support the five measures, it would be from the money which would be invested into the Oil Fund during August 2009 to July next year.
