Thai Beauty Queen wins ‘Miss Photogenic’ award in ‘Miss Universe 2009’

BANGKOK, 24 August 2009 (NNT) – Miss Thailand Universe 2009 Chutima ‘Khaimook’ Durongdej has won the first place in the ‘Miss Photogenic’ award and the second runner-up in the ‘Best National Costume’ award in the Miss Universe 2009 contest in the Bahamas.

Ms Chutima grabbed the ‘Miss Photogenic’ award from being voted by worldwide media members via the Internet. Earlier, she had won the second runner-up in the ‘Best National Costume’ award. Meanwhile, the ‘Miss Congeniality’ award went to Chinese representative Wang Jingyao after being voted by all charming contestants.

The beauty pageant took place at 21.00 hrs yesterday in the Bahamas or 8.00 hrs today in Thailand. Venezuela representative Stefania Fernandez was reportedly crowned as Miss Universe 2009, beating other contestants from Dominican Republic, Australia, Puerto Rico and Kosovo.
