He said to assist them the Government must restore confidence of the international market by highlighting on product quality.
The TISTR has recently provided product quality checks in a bid to help Thai export products meet international standards.
Dr Surapol indicated that each year about 1,200 to 1,300 entrepreneurs had the quality of their products checked with the institute. They are from the food, petrochemical, construction, and automotive industries. About 70 of them received ISO9000 issued by the TISTR.
