More than 400 tourism agencies in Norway participated to give scores for this contest. Moreover, THAI Airways International airline, the national flag carrier of Thailand, was also been voted as the “Best international airline”. This will be its 6th consecutive year in winning this tourism award.
These two tourism awards will reflect the relevance and the importance of Thailand’s tourism among Norwegians despite world tourism facing a hard time.
More than 150 billion people are expected to come to Thailand in 2010 for travel. At present, the Norwegian government has established the Bureau of Consular Affairs in Phuket province to accommodate its citizens in Thailand.
