BANGKOK, 15 January 2010 (NNT) – The Commerce Ministry calls for a meeting to consider the contract renewal of the announcement of product and service control measures which will expire in February.
Commerce Minister, Pornthiva Nakasai will ask the related committee to attend the meeting today to discuss and consider the measures to control products and services, saying that 1 service and 38 products such as milk powder, fresh milk, fermented milk drink, yogurt, sterilized and sweet condensed cream, condensed milk, recombined milk, skimmed milk, student uniform, sugar, rice, whole-grains, and pork, will likely to still get the same controlling measures as last year. The contract of the announcement of product and service control will expire in February and the consideration for its renewal of contract will be discussed every year, Ms Pornthiva added.
In today’s meeting, the committee will consider a list of 202 products to screen some products out from the accounts after the private sector requested the Ministry to take this issue into consideration. The consideration will be thoroughly made because if some products were cut from the list, those will be considered unmanageable. However, the mid point of this issue will be reached in this meeting, according to Ms Pornthiva.
