BANGKOK, 20 January 2010 (NNT) – The Ministry of Public Health has reported two fatalities from the influenza A (H1N1) over the previous week in Thailand, raising the accumulated death toll to 198.
According to Director-General of the Disease Control Department MD Manit Teeratantikanont, there were two more deaths, from 11-17 January 2010 while the total amount of fatalities stands at 198 throughout the country so far.
MD Manit said the latest patients killed by the H1N1 infection in late December include a 37-year-old woman in the northern province of Chiang Mai and an 82-year-old man in the central province of Ayudhaya.
