3G network services need clear explanation now

BANGKOK, 12 February 2010 (NNT) – A good understanding of the 3G network services is very important, according to Deputy Secretary-General of the National Telecommunication Commission of Thailand (NTC) Prasert Apipunya.

Mr Prasert said that a huge amount of money had been injected in this mega project leading to a higher rate of employment and the use of broadband internet. He added that officials had to do whatever it took to help the public have a good understanding about the 3G network for the future of this project.

Mr Prasert continued by saying that single number systems would be operated in the near future which could provide wider options for mobile users. This could result in fiercer competition among mobile service providers.

Mr Prasert said that this might be a milestone for TOT Public Company Limited should the Frequencies Regulators Act legally come into effect which could mean that organizations would have to adjust themselves.
