Govt will prioritize national interest in solving national problems

BANGKOK, 21 February 2010 (NNT) – The Thai government is capable of controlling the prevailing political situation as well as the other national problems, adding that Thai citizens would be equally and fairly treated, according to Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, Satit Wonghnongtaey.

Mr Satit stated that the current political upheaval stemmed from certain groups of people who were trying to create a situation, distort information and destroy the government’s credibility. He, therefore asked all Thais to understand the situation and avoid acting against the law in order to maintain peace.

Mr Satit continued by saying that all government decisions will always prioritize national interest and the equality of Thai citizens, stating that all national problems are being solved in the right way. Mr Satit also made it known that the country’s economic crisis had passed its lowest point and was now at a secure level as more foreign investors are more confident and interested in investing in Thailand.

Mr Satit asked the public for their positive cooperation in solving the uncertainty of the political situation and their assistance in enhancing the advancement of the country.
