Industry Ministry confirms no impact of eco-car on other automobiles sale

BANGKOK, 1 April 2010 (NNT) – The Industry Ministry views that the promotion of eco-car will not affect the sale of other sedans.

Permanent Secretary for Industry Vitoon Simachokedee cited that the eco-car in Thailand tended to remarkably grow among other kinds of automobile, but it would not affect the sale of others in the industry despite its lower cost. He also views that in the next five years the motor industry is still strong.

Regarding the eco-car project, Mr Vitoon said that the project would heighten the competency of sedan industry on the use of common parts.
