BANGKOK, 30 April 2010 (NNT) – The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) succeeds in pushing SMEs towards the international platform ending first phase of the project with positive results.
Director General of OSMEP, Mr Yuthasak Supasorn, stated that SMEs are small but powerful when grouped together. Each business helps push each other towards the world market, seeing other countries not as competitors but new business partners.
The project, divided into 4 subprojects to meet the specific needs of SME businesses, helps provide funding, supply chains, and e-commerce services to various SMEs. This results in a wide expansion of Thai products and services to the ASEAN region and other parts of the world.
The Director General further noted that the success of the first phase will raise awareness among public and private sectors of the importance of SMEs. OSMEP aims to provide further assistance to SMEs with the upcoming second phase.
