BANGKOK, 29 May 2010 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Trairong Suwannakhiri voiced support for the revocation of curfew, hoping for economic surge afterward.
Speaking on Saturday after Curfew revocation announced by the Prime Minister, Mr Trairong expressed his agreement with previous confirmation by the security forces, stating the situation was now under control. He believed that the move would result in a positive trend of the national economy, particularly in tourism leisure and entertainment sector.
The government on Saturday has decided not to extend the curfew being imposed in Bangkok and 23 other provinces but the Emegency Decree still remained in force.
