BANGKOK, 14 June 2010 (NNT) – The Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group has suggested the government to urgently solve the domestic political uncertainty without waiting for a study result of the Committee for Thailand Reform and Reconciliation Plan.
CP Group Vice Chairperson, Ajva Taolanond, said that confidence of both the private and civil sectors would be restored if the current coalition government led by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva could create a reconciliation climate within society.
The CP vice chairperson also urged the government to solve the social disparity issue first by adapting a theory initiated by the CEO and Chairperson of the CP Group, Dhanin Chearavanont, to increase the income of Thai farmers, so that grass-roots communities would be treated fairly in society.
According to the theory of the CP CEO, the price of agricultural crops must be high while people’s incomes must be increased in line with the price of crops and food.
The main theory targets the two largest populations of the country, including rural farmers as well as urban government officials and laborers.
