BANGKOK, The Pheu Thai Party is leading the Democrat Party in both constituency and party-list systems, according to a recent survey by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA).
The survey was conducted for the fifth time with 1,247 eligible voters across the country on 13 June 2011. The respondents were asked for their decision to vote in both constituency and party-list systems in the upcoming 3 July general election.
For the constituency system, 24.62% of the respondents in Bangkok and vicinities will vote for the Pheu Thai Party, followed by the Democrat Party with 16.41%. 1.03% of them will go for the Bhumjaithai Party while 33.33% however remain undecided.
The Pheu Thai Party will beat the Democrat Party in the North and Northeast receiving 33.54% against 23.63% ,and 43.46% against 7.90% respectively. The South, however, is as always in favour of the Democrat Party over the Pheu Thai Party by 36.47% against 10%.
For the party-list system, the Pheu Thai Party will beat the Democrat Party in Bangkok and the Nrotheast, with the popularity of 23.08% against 17.95%, and 43.21% against 7.41% respectively. Again, the Democrat Party will in the South, its stronghold, rout Pheu Thai 36.47%to 10%.
