Advisor to the Prime Minister General Pallop Pinmanee has voiced his readiness to serve in the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC), though admitting that he has not been contacted for the job.
Commenting on the report that he would be given a position within ISOC, Gen Pallop denied knowledge of the matter and confirmed that no contacts had been received from Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra so far. Nonetheless, if the information was true, he said he would be able to perform the assigned duty immediately without any pressure, citing his previous five-year experience at ISOC and close relationships with his former subordinates, including incumbent Army Chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha.
Gen Pallop noted that he would also welcome any other position besides the Director of ISOC as long as he could fully contribute to the agency’s operations.
Meanwhile, when asked about a visit to former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in Cambodia by Pheu Thai MPs and red-shirt core leaders, Gen Pallop believed the trip was being arranged with a sense of respect and loyalty and no negotiations for personal benefits would be involved.
