Mitsubishi Motors to show the new Mitsubishi Triton and Pajero Sport in the 28th Motor Expo

Pathumthani- November 24, 2011 Mitsubishi Motors  Thailand  to show all Mitsubishi models including the new Mitsubishi Triton 2.5 VG Turbo 178 HP, Pajero Sport, Lancer EX and Lancer 1.6 L. at the 28th Motor Expo at IMPACT Arena Muangthong Thani during December 1-12, 2011.   

Mr. Nobuyuki Murahashi, President of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd.  (MMTh) expressed the company’s deepest sympathies to Thai people who are suffering from flood and hoped for an earliest possible recovery of the affected areas and also updated the current situation of Mitsubishi Motors in Thailand that;

 

“Although  the flood crisis has directly impacted on the overall automotive industry especially for sales volume but overall sales exclude truck and bus in the first ten months of this year grew 13.6% from 610,359 units in the previous year to 693,562 units as well as MMTh sales performance which is very good, we achieved 56,409 units, up 88% compared to last year. Among this number were Mitsubishi Triton 34,714 units, up 136 %, and Pajero Sport 15,378 units, up 77% while the sales ratio is at 62% and 27% respectively and for the rest 2 months, we will continue to arrange marketing activity in order to boost sales volume.”

 

“There is no direct damage at our factory but some of our suppliers were affected by flood disaster so we decided to halt production at the Laem Chabang Plant from the night shift of October 13 to November 12. However our continuous support to damaged parts suppliers resulted in starting production from November 14, 2011 onward so we can supply the customers with all models especially for the new Mitsubishi Triton and Pajero Sport  which just introduced to Thai market and have got a very good response from users as both of them were adjusted to cover our customers’ need in all aspects.” Said with confident Mr. Murahashi.

Mr. Murahashi also disclosed about Mitsubishi lineup at the coming 28^th Thailand International Motor Expo 2011 during December 1-12, 2011 that the new Mitsubishi Triton and Pajero Sport will be the highlight at Mitsubishi Motors Booth with a lineup of 19 vehicles including of Lancer EX together with Lancer 1.6L. Besides, the very special campaigns are also provided which when combined with the full lineup, the company is confident to achieve the goal.

 

 

Mitsubishi lineup in the 28^th Motor Expo

 

• Mitsubishi Triton and Pajero Sport; The new models can cover customer needs in all aspects including Performance, Utility, Styling and Safety. With its outstanding Performance, Utility & Functionality and Styling, The new Pajero Sport 2WD will be equipped with the new 5-speed automatic transmission with sportronic,  GT model is installed with Paddle shift as standard equipment while Air Outlet of All models are added in 2^nd and 3^rd row for more convenient and “Dark Blue” is added as the new standard color.  Moreover, in order to provide more choices of engine, MMTh will introduce the new Pajero Sport 2.4 L Gasoline Model.

 

 

For Mitsubishi Triton, 178PS Mega Cab Plus is key model for 12MY.  2.5 VG Turbo Intercooler Engine providing maximum output, “The Top Class of High Power”, is installed in Mega Cab PLUS and Double Cab PLUS.   Another new 2WD model is coming with 128 PS from 2.5 DI-D Turbo Intercooler which earns EU emission standards step 4 while Triton Double Cab Plus is equipped with the new 5-speed automatic transmission with sportronic and various new standard equipment

 

Other than the additional models, Triton CNG models (S/C, M/C & D/C) can support customer needs for 12MY in term of alternative energy vehicle and cost saving that are most important factors for purchase decision of consumers nowadays.

 

• Mitsubishi Lancer EX; Providing customer a sense of both stylish and intelligence of driving, the car is powered by a choice of two engines that deliver outstanding motive performance and fuel economy; Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) 1.8 Liter engine is compatible with all types gasoline up to E85 and 2.0 Liter engine is compatible with gasohol E20.

 

• Mitsubishi Lancer 1,600 CC.; A compact sedan that provided both impressive performance and fuel economy. There are available in 2 styles; the standard model can be compatible with E20 while CNG model which comes with Dual-Fuel system that can select between gasohol E20 and CNG and more safety with CNG system equipped under the company standard from the manufacture together with warranty 3 years /100,000 km.
