Jaymart expands “Mobile Show 2013” to hit major provinces

Jaymart has rolled out big events of the year with more than 100 million Baht to hold its signature “Mobile Show 2013” in Bangkok’s four prime locations and key provinces to keep up with the brisk growth of the mobile phone market and reinforce its leadership in the retail mobile business.

Mr. Adisak Sukumvitaya, chief executive officer of Jaymart Public Company Limited,                         the leading retailer of mobile phone and accessories of Thailand, said this year Jaymart has set      100 million Baht to organize “Mobile Show 2013,” a premium mobile technology event bringing              20 famous brands together. This year the company doubles the number of events from three to six, comprising of four events (Bangkok Mobile Show) in Bangkok to penetrate its four prime markets and two events in Chiang Mai and Nakorn Ratchasima. The expansion is to better respond to  growing consumer demand and prepare for the rising smart phone and tablet market as spurred by the emerging 3G network to be fully operational soon.

“The increasing number of Mobile Show 2013 is expected to generate around 350 million Baht. Jaymart’s previous three shows held last year pushed its sales by more than 30 per cent                to record  7.2 billion in total revenue.”

In Bangkok Jaymart will hold “Bangkok Mobile Show” four times: 1.Seacon Square                (1,400 sq. m.) May; 2 Central Plaza Ladprao (1,000 sq.m.) July 4-10; 3. The Mall Bangkapi, G Floor (1,000 sq.m.) August 29-September 4; 4. Fashion Island, G Floor (945 sq.m.) October 25-November 3. In Nakorn Rachasima, Jaymart will hold “Korat Mobile Show” between February 28-March 6.

 

In Chiang Mai, it’s called “Chiang Mai Mobile Show” for August 1-7. All the events will be joined by more than 20 companies to offer special promotions to stimulate sales.

Mr. Adisak added that Jaymart will add more 60 branches nationwide and by the end of this year there will be 280 branches in service, mostly focusing on provincial expansion following the promising growth in many provinces. Jaymart Quality Service or JQS will also be introduced as one service standard for every branch. Customers will find the same service-minded standard from entering the shop to every other services.

In addition to the branch expansion, Jaymart prepares to start a franchise business, starting February this year to reach more the provincial markets as the market is growing, expecting to license 50 franchise branches this year to gain 100 million Baht in sales. The franchise includes kiosks and shops.

To carry a key message that Jaymart is Thailand’s leading retail business for mobile phones and accessories with a focus on introducing new services to meet customer demand, Jaymart has rolled out a television commercial advertisement titled “Thailand  through mobile phones”. For the past 20 years Jaymart has proven to be a leader with creative activities such as payment installment plans for mobile phones, home delivery service, a replacement phone while in repair, and other services to serve customers of all levels, allowing Jaymart brand to be widely recognized for every group of customers.

“Thailand  through mobile phones” is 45 seconds long, featuring Thainess concept and the Thai society weaved with activities and events occurring to Jaymart for the past 20 years in a comic way to carry on the loveliness of Thai people and to leave an enticing question about how Jaymart will be led to as a leader in 3G. Another activity is created to bring the message via online communication so that the perspective towards Thailand is open wider.
