Hotel Grand Sahid Jaya Jakarta Welcomes Miss Universe to Indonesia

Jakarta, Indonesia, Jan 31, 2013 – (ACN Newswire) – Recently crowned Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo of the United States arrived at the Grand Sahid Jaya on her first official overseas trip as Miss Universe. Miss Culpo will be staying at the Grand Sahid Jaya during her 10 day visit to Indonesia and was welcomed by the hotel General Manager, Mr. Jeremy M Cooper, the hotels management team along with the Putri Indonesia organizers.

The hotel is the official hotel of Putri Indonesia 2013 organized by the Yayasan Puteri Indonesia in coorporation with Mustika Ratu. Miss Culpo was attending the Grand final of Puteri Indonesia 2012-2013 at the Jakarta Convention Center on February 1st.

The hotel hosted an evening with Miss Universe on the 2nd February at the Puri Agung Ballroom. The evening went to support the hotel’s commitment and social responsibility to the Jakarta Breast Cancer Foundation (YKPJ), a foundation that not only cares for people suffering with cancer but also the prevention and early detection, a cause that Miss Olivia strongly supports.

The Gala Charity Dinner entitled ‘Care and Share with Love’ will include a fabulous 4 course gourmet dinner with wine and entertainment from Sandhy Sandoro and Rio Febrian. The guest of honour Miss Universe, Olivia Culpo, spoke on what it is like to be Miss Universe, her role supporting breast cancer in the USA and what it feels like to be in Indonesia, her first trip to Asia and her first overseas trip as Miss Universe.
