Franchise Seminar to Introduce Investors to New Investment Ideas

Food&HotelVietnam2013 will unveil experts imparting business and legal insights on franchising to keen Vietnamese professionals

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Mar 12, 2013 – (ACN Newswire) – With foreign direct investments making up the bulk of Vietnam’s gross domestic product, the government has devised different ways to attract more foreign companies to capitalise in Vietnam, and to encourage local industry professionals to start new businesses. Franchising has been earmarked as one of the key areas for growth in Vietnam.

Vietnam’s food and hospitality industry favourable for business growth

Vietnam’s government recognises franchising as a good opportunity for foreign businesses to introduce their brands to the Vietnamese market, as it is a favourable avenue for small and medium size Vietnamese entrepreneurs to embark on new ventures with lower capital investment. Many franchise outlets have since sprouted out, as one can see popular brands such as Jollibee and Paris Baguette when one walks along the streets in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Adrian Leong, the Vietnam Representative of Asiawide Franchise Consultants comments, “The Vietnamese business landscape is still at its infancy, therefore opportunities abound and there is much room for growth. The emergence of a more affluent middle class is followed by an increased appetite for a greater variety of food and beverage options. The franchising market will continue to see healthy growth for years to come.”

According to statistics offered by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, the food and beverage retail sector valued at and estimated to be $33.7 billion last year. Experts have pointed out that the size of the Vietnamese F&B and hospitality markets are expanding, and there is potential for franchised businesses to grow even further. Consumers’ tastes and demands have evolved, allowing them to be more open to trying out brands that have already been established in other parts of the world. This, coupled with increasing presence of well-known brands already entrenched in the local scene, are generating more business franchising opportunities for the growing appetite of local investors.

New Franchising Seminar and Workshop at Food&HotelVietnam2013

To help meet the growing demand, VietAsia Law Firm, the representative office of Asiawide Franchise Consultants for Vietnam, together with the organizers of the Food & Hotel Vietnam, is inviting aspiring entrepreneurs in Vietnam to attend the coming franchise seminar titled, Meeting the Current Business Challenges & Getting Ready for the Recovery via Becoming a Franchisee.
