Bangkok, 8 July 2013 – The Coca-Cola System in Thailand, led by Mr. Veera Akaraputhiporn, Director, The Coca-Cola Foundation Thailand (back row, 4th from left), and the Utokapat Foundation under Royal Patronage of H.M. The King, led by Dr. Royol Chitradon, Director and Secretary-General (back row, 3rd from right), mobilized more than 700 Positive Energy with Coca-Cola volunteers, including consumers from around Thailand, Coca-Cola system employees, officers from partner organizations and community members to enhance and develop water resources in Ban Limthong and nearby communities in the Nangrong District of the Buriram province.
Part of the objective of the activity was to also educate and create awareness of the importance of water and community water resource management. This activity was the latest demonstration of Coca-Cola’s water stewardship commitment to safely return to communities and nature an amount of water equivalent to what Coca-Cola uses in all beverages and production by 2020, under the company’s RAKNAM Program which has benefited more than one million Thais.
