Border Affairs House of Representatives says the MOU 2000 will solve border issue between Thailand-Cambodia

BANGKOK, 6 January 2011 (NNT)-The House of Representatives Committee on Border Affairs believes the Memorandum of Understanding signed ten years ago is the best solution to the Thai-Cambodian border issue.

Following the arrest of the 7 Thai nationals claimed to have trespassed into Cambodia, the Committee has disclosed that there are currently 13 disputed spots along the Thai- Cambodian, with most of them located in Srakeaw Province.

The Committee has warned Thais against entering into the overlapping areas while the Thai-Cambodia Joint Border Committee (JBC) is still trying to solve the border issue.
