C-130 plane sent to pick up bus victims in Malaysia

BANGKOK, 21 December 2010 (NNT) – An air force C-130 transport aircraft will fly to Malaysia to bring home the Thais who were killed and injured in the bus accident in Malaysia.

In the wake of one of the worst bus accidents in Malaysia that reportedly killed 28 people, 25 of them Thais, the Ministry of Foreign affairs, with the cooperation of the Air Force, is sending a C-130 plane to Malaysia to bring back the dead and injured.

According to an initial report from the Thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur, the double-decker bus was carrying 34 tourists –33 Thais and one foreigner—when it overturned, killing 23 and injuring the rest; one seriously.

The C130 plane will leave from Don Mueang air force terminal with Consular Affairs Department official and a team of doctors. Relatives of the victims will also be allowed to travel on the plane
