Democrat confident in new cabinet line-up

BANGKOK, 7 June 2010 (NNT) – The ruling Democrat Party has expressed its confidence in strong potentials of the new cabinet line-up to administer the country.

Democrat Party Spokesperson, MD Buranaj Smutharaks, guaranteed adequate knowledge, capabilities, and experiences of all newly-appointed ministers. He hence believed that the new ministers would be able to contribute to the revival of national stability.

MD Buranaj then elaborated three main missions for the government, including pushing forward the roadmap to national reconciliation, relieving losses from the recent political rally staged by the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship, and restoring confidence to the kingdom.

The spokesperson affirmed that the removal of some ministers from the cabinet did not mean a failure in their duties while they were sitting in the posts. He said it was just an opportunity to allow others to show their capabilities.

The recent shake-up in the cabinet was made up of new figures mainly from the ruling Democrat Party and included removals of some old members both in the Democrat Party and the conflicting factions of the coalition Puea Pandin Party.
