BANGKOK, 29 July 2009 (NNT) – The Economic Cabinet has made plans to consider 6 projects to better utilize Don Mueang Airport and generate revenue for the state.
Today’s meeting of the Economic Cabinet will mull over the Transport Ministry’s request for approval to initiate 6 projects for the airport aimed at drawing in private investment to the currently vacant compound. The aviation related projects will encompass airplane maintenance and storage, trade services and chartered aircraft.
The Airports of Thailand Company estimates that the 6 projects will generate 55 million baht monthly by the year 2011.
