BANGKOK, 22 March 2010 (NNT) – Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij vows not to let the mass rally of the anti-government protestors ruin foreign investors’ confidence while he presides over a roadshow in Hong Kong.
The finance minister has attended the Asian Investment Conference in Hong Kong where over 2,000 major investors and related institutes from all over the world are participating. Mr Korn had a chance to give a speech and meet more than 10 groups of institutional investors.
Mr Korn has posted a message on his twitter http://twitter.com/KornDemocrat, vowing to boost Thais’ confidence on economy and not to let the political demonstration affect foreigners’ confidence.
The 13th Asian Investment Conference is organized by Credit Suisse from 22-26 March. Over 2,000 people and 260 business organizations are expected to join the event. There will be more than 5,000 small forums taking place during the five day meeting.
