Gold ornament sold at 18,100 THB today

BANGKOK, 16 January 2010 (NNT) – The Gold Traders Association reports that today’s bullion is purchased at 17,600 THB/baht weight and sold at 17,700 THB/baht weight. Gold ornament is bought at 17,343.04 THB/one-baht weight and sold at 18,100 THB/baht weight.

Recently, Secretary to the Gold Traders Association, Pichaya Pisutthikun, suggested people buy gold when the price drops to 16,000-17,000 THB/one-baht weight. Mr Pichaya also predicted that gold price in the first quarter of 2010 was likely to move around 950-1,200 USD/ounce.

The association secretary added that the gold price would be less fluctuate due to positive signs of economic recovery.
