BANGKOK, 9 January 2011 (NNT) – After the government has announced its nine-point populist policy, the Pheu Thai Party rebutted that it is a copycat version of Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’ s earlier policies.
Pheu Thai Party Spokesperson Prompong Nopparit said the nine points were the same as those in Mr Thaksin’s Eua-Arthorn or Assistance for the Poor Project. The Pheu Thai Party claimed the government’s policy was simply aimed at getting votes.
Mr Prompong added that these projects should have been undertaken two years ago, quipping that while the people down south were facing difficulties from the floods, the government, in its efforts to garner votes, still focused on the happiness of city dwellers,
