House dissolution within 9 months is the best solution

BANGKOK, 29 March 2010 (NNT) – Prime Minister said that the House dissolution within nine months was the best offer to be considered by the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD).

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva stated after the negotiation with the UDD’s core leaders that the government offer during the debate to dissolve the House by this year-end was the proper period. Primarily, the UDD’s core leaders denied to accept the proposed timeframe and would discuss among them again. Mr Abhisit said this was the best solution and hoped to have another round of negotiation with the UDD to settle down the problem.

The Prime Minister added that unrest in Bangkok and upcountry needed to be resolved with the cooperation of all parties.
