BANGKOK, 9 February 2010 (NNT) – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen strongly criticized Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva because he was angry that he was unable to enter Prasart Ta Muen Thom in Suring province during his visit yesterday, according to Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs Suthep Thaugsuban.
Mr Suthep viewed that the Cambodian Prime Minister said that the verbal assault made by Mr Hun Sen would discredit as well as tarnish his own image. Mr Suthep added that the Thai government would neither retaliate nor argue with the Cambodian premier since it was doing the right thing.
The deputy prime minister said still hoped that the relationships between Thailand and its neighboring country would be healthy again once the tensions between them declined. He said he still regarded Cambodia as one of Thailand’s neighbors.
