IEEE PMU Student Branch Formed

 

Al-Khobar | Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) officially formed the PMU IEEE Student Branch under the auspice of the College of Computer Engineering & Science (CCES) at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) campus.

This internationally recognized organization supports academic endeavors in science and technology. The technical and professional excellence which PMU IEEE Student Branch expects to bring alongside promoting the efforts of this college would be recognized internationally.

 

Dr. Dilek Dustegor from CCES at PMU is made the Faculty Advisor of this Branch. She would explore various avenues for best utilization of this new association to benefit the student community here.

 

Formation of PMU IEEE Student Branch in this university is considered a towering step. The activities and future plans are worked out to fruition this attempt.

An alumnus of PMU, Zaina Al Sukairi said that, “official formation of IEEE Student Branch offers good opportunity for the students to avail this internationally recognized avenue to hone skills.”

 

The PMU IEEE Student Branch plans to form many affinity groups including Women in Engineering Group besides organizing the IEEE Regional Student Conferences to promote the activities.

 

IEEE dedicates itself to advance innovation and technological excellence. The PMU IEEE Student Branch welcomes students from any Colleges which are interested in the latest developments in the Information Technology area which are today’s ardent needs; currently most of the members are from the CCES.

Membership of IEEE comprises of engineers, computer scientists, software developers and large number of IT professionals.

 

PMU has new avenue now to guide its CCES and all interested students to attain professional traits post launching of PMU IEEE Student Branch in its campus.
