Krung Thai Bank urged to re-define its roles

ANGKOK, 21 September 2009 (NNT) – Krung Thai Bank has been urged to make clear its role in an effort to direct the bank to better performance in accordance with its designated plans.

Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij disclosed he had recently discussed the matter with Mr. Apisak Tantivorawong, the President of Krung Thai Bank Public Co., Ltd.

The direction Krung Thai Bank should go was raised amongst concerned officials. Minister Korn said the bank’s performance was not as good as it should be, as the bank went in the wrong direction and its roles remained vague.
