BANGKOK, 9 May 2010 (NNT) – About 600,000-700,000 people are expected to visit the Money Expo 2010 with a circulation of not less than 100 billion THB during the event, which is closing on Sunday evening.
Chairperson of the organizing committee Santi Viriyarungsarit reported that the event on the opening day, 6 May, was not lively due to political unrest; however, the number of visitors had climbed up during weekend and is expected to stand around 600,000-700,000 by the end of the fair.
Mr Santi elaborated that most attractive businesses include personal loans, SME loans, housing loans, savings, and investment funds as well as gold. About 100 billion THB is anticipated to be circulated during the event, which is lower than that of last year but is still satisfactory.
Mr Santi added that it is surprising to see a large number of people participating in related seminars this year as all seats are fully booked. He said it could show that people would like to learn more for use in their investment decisions.
Money Expo 2010 has been organized since 6 May at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and will end on 9 May. More than 200 booths from public and private financial institutions are displayed in the event.
