Mr. Korn: Online lottery project to be implemented soon

BANGKOK, 26 May 2009 (NNT) – The government’s two- and three-digit lottery scheme will be moved forward as the new Permanent Secretary for Finance is appointed, according to the Finance Ministry.

Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij states that the ministry currently awaits for the appointment of Finance Permanent Secretary, who will act as the Chairman of the Government Lottery Office (GLO) committee to spearhead the project.

He insists that the confirmation letter is not needed to be forwarded to the Office in accordance with the Government Lottery Office Act while assuring that deputy Finance Minister Pradit Phatthraprasit and himself, who oversee the Government Lottery Office can implement the online lottery program as planned.
