Mutual benefits for Thailand and China

BANGKOK, 15 January 2010 (NNT) – Chen Junjiang, Secretary of the China-ASEAN road show, envisioned that the Free Trade Area agreement (FTA) will mutually benefit Thailand and China in global competition.

Mr Chen stated that the FTA, which was effective on 1 January, will benefit trade investment among 11 ASEAN members countries. Mr Chen viewed that most Thai products, especially agricultural products were of high quality which could push Thai trade to be globally competitive. He said that the FTA will not only be another distribution channel for Thailand but this agreement will help Thailand to export its products more in the global arena.
