BANGKOK, 31 August 2009 (NNT) – Senate Speaker Prasopsuk Boondej expressed his belief that conclusions drawn by the Reconciliation Committee for Political Reform and Constitution Amendment would help relieve the current political tensions.
Mr Prasobsuk stated that suggestions by the committee had not yet been discussed by Parliament but it might be included in a joint parliamentary session today. He added that House Speaker Chai Chidchob and he might meet to talk about the committee’s work in further detail. The Senate Speaker also suggested that the 2 Houses deliberate on investigation results of the Fact-Finding Committee on Political Demonstrations and the reconciliation panel’s conclusions at the same time.
