Six bodies found in safe-zone temple show signs of execution

BANGKOK, 21 May 2010 (NNT) – Six dead bodies found in Wat Pathumwanaram have been suspected of being executed.

Director of the Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS) MD Khunying Pornthip Rojanasunand stated after performing a postmortem autopsy on six corpses found at Wat Pathumwanaram, that most of the bodies showed signs being methodically shot. Bullet wounds were found precisely targeted to the victims’ vital areas.

MD Khunying Pornthip commented that the discovery of war weapons and extremely harmful objects such as M-16, bombs, molotov cocktails, chemical tanks and PVC pipes in the civilian households and public cars during a military operation to reclaim and clean-up the area around Ratchaprasong signify that the red shirt protest was never intended to be peaceful.

The CIFS director(CIFS) asks that the public not question Wat Pathumwanaram authorities as allowing the tragic acts to occur, saying that only time would tell.
