BANGKOK, 25 May 2010 (NNT) – The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Bank (SME Bank) has voiced readiness to grant additional loans for its customers affected by the recent political unrest and riots, especially those whose shops were damaged during the incidents.
SME Bank President, Soros Sakornvisava, stated that the bank had issued loans for its customers affected from the riots, especially shop owners at Center One Shopping Center, to invest, reconstruct or renovate their shops accordingly.
The bank has also established an operation center to give primary suggestions to entrepreneurs affected by the riots and has requested the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to allocate nearby areas and set up temporary spaces for trading.
SME Bank will announce more details about the procedures for the mentioned loans and the 5 billion THB budget approved by the government to lease loans on 26 May 2010 at Royal Paragon Hall, 5th floor of Siam Paragon Shopping Complex from 10.00 to 12.00 hrs.
Business entrepreneurs with their enterprises around Phan Fa Bridge, Ratchaprasong Intersection, Silom Road, Siam Square, and nearby areas hence are invited to attend the event accordingly. Further details can be enquired via the call center 1357.
