TAT has high hopes for Bangkok Film Festival

BANGKOK, 26 September 2009 (NNT) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has relayed high hopes for the 2009 Bangkok International Film Festival that has so far attracted many domestic and foreign celebrities.

The 2009 Bangkok International Film Festival kicked off 2 days ago at SF World Cinema, spurring much hope for the Asian film industry as well as Thailand’s economy. TAT Deputy Governor of Marketing Communications Juttaporn Rerngron-asa stated that the Bangkok Film Festival, with over 120 films from all over the world, would also serve as great promotion for the tourism industry by drawing movie enthusiasts to come and visit the film festival while also showcasing Thailand’s capabilities as a movie making country.

The TAT hopes that the Bangkok International Film Festival will have a great effect on domestic travel.
