Thai Chamber: Current political situation affects Thai businesses

BANGKOK, 23 March 2010 (NNT) – The current political tension will affect Thai businesses and national export if prolonged, according to Dusit Nontanakorn, Chairman of the Thai Chamber Of Commerce.

After the Thai Chamber of Commerce’s 44th annual meeting, Mr Dusit stated that the continued political tension and a prolonged rally could potentially affect national export in the third quarter of this year. As a result, related sectors, including the labor market, might be negatively impacted in the future.

Mr Dusit added that all sides should quickly find a solution to the political crisis in order to avoid causing any further damage to the private sector.
