Thai Labor Solidarity Committee reminds Pheu Thai to increase minimum wage soon

BANGKOK, 18 July 2011 (NNT)-The Thai Labor Solidarity Committee (TSLC) has submitted a letter to Pheu Thai, asking the Party to expedite the implementation of their 300 THB minimum wage as well as the policy on labor rights.

TSLC President Mr. Charlie Loisoong is urging Pheu Thai to follow through on their policies. The letter submitted by Mr. Charlie focused on increasing the minimum wage to 300 THB and promoting worker rights.

Mr. Charlie reportedly would like to push the bill on establishing the labor union. He said these were the priority that Pheu Thai must respond quickly. He has given Pheu Thai 6 months to execute the policies while promising to return en masse to pressure the Party if it could not adhere to what it had promised the people.
