Asia’s Most Prestigious Event & Awards For Corporate Social Responsibility Recognizes Best in the Region

Jakarta, Indonesia, Apr 23, 2013 – (ACN Newswire) – The Global CSR Summit & Awards 2013 was held at Marco Polo Davao, Philippines on 19-20 April 2013. The international event now in its fifth year and is Asia’s most prestigious event and awards on corporate social responsibility.

Over 150 local and international delegates attended the event. The theme of this year’s conference “Local Innovations, Global Impact” focused on the importance of sustainability solutions on the local level to solving today’s problems on the global scale such as climate change, poverty and human exploitation. 14 international speakers from leading corporations and NGOs shared their experiences on the theme, offering their ideas and solutions from different countries in Asia and the rest of the world.

The much anticipated Global CSR Awards were hosted during lunch, where Mr Roberto P. Alabado III, the Urban & Regional Planner of Davao City was the guest of honour to present the awards. The Global CSR Awards have been recognized by industry professionals as the most authoritative and widely participated CSR Awards programme attracting over 500 entries from leading corporations in Asia and the rest of the world.

On the second day, delegates were treated to an Eco-leisure tour to the best scenic sights of Davao.
