TOT confirms 3G official launch on 3 December

BANGKOK, 1 December 2009 (NNT) – The TOT Plc has confirmed the official date for the launch of the 3G network system on 3 December.

Deputy Managing Director of TOT Plc, Mr Vichien Naksinuan, said at a press conference that the official launch of the 3G network system will take place at Central World Plaza on 3 December 2009.

The event will start at 15.00 hrs onward. Apart from the grand opening ceremony there will be an exhibition on the 3G network system. TOT officers will provide information for visitors as well as demonstrate 3G mobile computing.

The 3G network system is run by TOT for the first time in Thailand. The network can support up to 500,000 numbers in Bangkok and its surrounding areas with 548 signal points covering major areas and office buildings.
